Title of Presentation: Strongest Families: Removing Barriers to Care

Description of the presentation: Strongest Families Institute (SFI) is dedicated to making evidence-based mental health and behavioral support more accessible to children, youth, adults, and families across Canada. This presentation will provide an overview of who we are, how our programs remove common barriers to accessing care, and how we support clients through accessible, timely, and family-friendly services. We will highlight our programs, share key outcomes and data, and showcase client success stories that demonstrate the impact of our services. The presentation will also provide an overview of our referral process, including eligibility, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and how community and healthcare providers can connect individuals and families with our programs.

Bio of the Presenter: Katryna Guitar is the Senior Strategic Outreach Manager at Strongest Families Institute (SFI), where she has been part of the organization for 12 years. Passionate about improving access to mental health and behavioral supports, Katryna works closely with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners across Canada to increase awareness and access to SFI’s evidence-based programs. She is passionate about the impact SFI has on individuals and families and about finding innovative ways to remove barriers to care and connect people with the support they need.
