March 26, 2026
Health PEI is announcing an executive leadership transition. Our commitment to accountability, transparency, and continuity of care remains unchanged.
Chris Nickerson will be concluding his role as Chief Operating Officer, effective April 8, 2026. Health PEI would like to thank Chris for his exceptional leadership and contributions during his time with Health PEI, and for his commitment to supporting safe, high-quality care for Islanders. We wish him well in his future endeavours.
Health PEI is pleased to announce that Corinne Rowswell has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, effective April 8, 2026. Corinne is well known throughout the organization, having previously served as COO until March 2025 as well as Interim CEO in 2024. Most recently, she has been serving as Provincial Executive Lead, Health System Integration and Flow, where she has continued to play a key role in advancing system priorities.
A registered nurse with more than 35 years of health care experience, Corinne brings a deep understanding of our system, our people, and the needs of the patients and families we serve. Her extensive leadership experience across clinical care, public health, and system integration positions her well to return and lead operations at this critical time. Corinne’s return to the COO role provides strong continuity in leadership, and we are confident that her experience, relationships, and commitment to patient-centred care will continue to strengthen Health PEI.
Please join us in thanking Chris for his contributions and in welcoming Corinne to the role.
Sincerely,
Laurae Kloschinsky, Interim CEO, Health PEI
