September 3, 2026
Dear Colleagues,
As we move into September, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you continue to do for Islanders and for one another.
Over the past several months, I have had the opportunity to visit teams and speak with staff across Health PEI. Whether in our hospitals, long-term care facilities, health centres, clinics, offices, or communities, I have been reminded time and again of the professionalism, compassion, and dedication that exist throughout our organization.
The past several months have also brought significant demands across our health system. There have been many days when plans changed quickly, pressures increased, and difficult situations tested us as individuals, teams, and as an organization. Through it all, you have remained focused on providing care, supporting one another, and doing what is right for the people who depend on us.
Many of you have worked long days, adapted to changing circumstances, and stepped forward when extra support was needed. I recognize the demands this has placed on you, and those around you, and I want you to know that your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
What stands out to me most is the way people across Health PEI come together when it matters. I have seen colleagues help colleagues, teams find solutions in challenging circumstances, and staff continue to provide outstanding care and service during difficult days. Those actions may not always be visible, but they make a meaningful difference every day.
Thank you for your dedication, your professionalism, and the care and compassion you bring to your work every day. Thank you for everything you do for Islanders and for one another.
Sincerely,
Laurae Kloschinsky
Interim Chief Executive Officer, Health PEI
