The HPEI Bits & Bytes series has been developed to bridge between information, healthcare teams, patients and the future by providing knowledge and training on current and upcoming digital health initiatives at HPEI. The monthly program would inform and excite people about digital health and the possibilities which in turn, could lead to positive patient outcomes.

Opening Notes Directly to Our Patients: What Have We Learned Thus Far?
Health care providers are understandably concerned about opening up their health care records directly to patients. Will it create more work? Will patients be upset and angry? Will they be calling or emailing more? Will I have to rewrite my notes? What if my patient sees the lab results before the clinician?
This talk will address all of these concerns, and more, utilizing the extensive research findings and Steve's experience in having been an architect in opening up medical as well as mental health therapy notes throughout the USA and globally.
