Dear Health PEI team,
Staff at the QEH called a partial code orange last night to support potential critical care victims of an apartment fire in Charlottetown. I want to extend my gratitude to QEH staff for their swift and efficient response in accommodating over-capacity patients, showing excellence in delivering health care and demonstrating tremendous teamwork and dedication to patients. Thank you to those who responded on call to support their colleagues, it is heartwarming to see the level of commitment and responsiveness when team members are needed. A further thank you for the collaborated efforts to support each other through this code and the ongoing efforts of those at QEH who continue to work through this. Our thoughts go out to those in the community whose lives have been impacted by this fire.
