- Home Care Solution Office – HCSO
- A multidisciplinary team—comprising a manager, administrative coordinator, business application specialists, and an IT consultant—oversees the AlayaCare system to support and advance its use within Home Care, in collaboration with Home Care Leadership and staff.
- The team is responsible for employee onboarding, system support, and ongoing system enhancements informed by Home Care staff input.
- AlayaCare is Prince Edward Island's province-wide solution for collecting, sharing and utilizing patient information for Home Based Care. It forms part of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- It is an interRAI compliant Home Care case management system
- It is mobile-friendly, allowing employees to document at point of care using laptops and smartphones
- Included is an electronic scheduling system providing mobile access to real-time client and employee schedules
- Integration with CIS provides timely information regarding hospital encounters

Employee orientation and ongoing training is completed and tracked through the Government of Prince Edward Island Learning Management System (Moodle).
There is an AlayaCare Training Environment which is utilized to support employee orientation and training activities and is accessible on both laptops and smartphones.
