Thinking of retiring?
You must submit a pension application to the Pension and Benefits office at least two months before your retirement date.
You will receive a confirmation of your application at the email provided on the application from firstname.lastname@example.org within five business days of the Pension and Benefits office receiving your application.
If you do not receive a confirmation within five business days of your pension application, call the Pension and Benefits office at 902-368-4200. If you don't receive a confirmation, it's likely the office didn't receive your application. This could result in a loss of pension benefits.
Note: Upon receipt of an application, pension benefits are payable following termination, but no earlier than the 1st of the month in which an application is received by the Pension and Benefits office if received after the month of termination.
