Hi everyone,
Every now and then, it is important to take the time to pause and reflect on what we’re accomplishing together.
Transforming health care is no small task. It’s complex, it’s demanding, and it takes all of us. But with the right people and the right approach, we’re proving that it’s possible.
Over the past year, we’ve made real strides in improving care for Islanders. Our focus on expanding access to primary care and strengthening rural health care is delivering results. These achievements are thanks to your dedication, your willingness to make changes, and your commitment to doing what’s best for patients and communities.
With the support of a small team focused on system-wide improvement, we’ve been able to:
- Build and implement clear improvement plans
- Align partners and resources behind shared goals
- Set measurable targets
- Track and evaluate our progress
By applying evidence-based strategies from across Canada, we’re showing that we can meet—and even exceed—national standards.
Attached is a presentation [PDF] that outlines our approach and the results we have achieved so far. There’s still a lot of work ahead—but we’re on the right path, and we’re doing it together.
