Hi all,
We have made remarkable progress in transforming healthcare delivery on the Island, achieving early successes on our journey to becoming a Centre of Excellence for healthcare recruitment. Thanks to swift initiatives such as the launch of the daily recruitment command table, a dedicated single point of contact for each candidate, and proactive marketing efforts, our recruitment team has celebrated some early wins:
- The Physician Services Agreement (PSA) recruitment marketing campaign has outperformed other campaigns in click-through rate by 4x.
- Interest in HPEI and relocation to PEI has increased, especially from cold leads.
- There’s been a 20% increase in family doctors submitting resumes, eager to learn more following the PSA's public release.
- The upcoming Fall events (e.g., conferences) are expected to boost the PSA's lead generation.
- Implementing several interim solutions to reduce physician intake process from 49 to 11 steps.
The Transformation Office is also preparing to support more areas of Health PEI, including the Emergency Department patient flow; Diagnostic Imaging backlogs; Surgical backlogs; and Medical Leadership supports. We look forward to engaging more of you, as we plan for these new workstreams.
We would like to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your invaluable support in achieving these accomplishments.
Finally, we also hosted our Monthly Transformation Forum on August 27th, where we had a productive and engaging discussion on our progress and celebrated the achievements across all our priority workstreams.
To learn more about our progress across each of the transformation priorities this past week, please see the latest Transformation Update Report. If you have any questions, please contact healthpei@gov.pe.ca.
